Flying was so much easier with Simon since he is old enough to enjoy sitting still and watching a movie. Our laptop was severely damaged a week before take-off but Uncle Scott trusted us with his laptop. Simon watched movies via headphones. We watched finding Nemo until I thought it was too scary and then we switched to The Sound of Music, oddly enough, one of Simon's favorites. Hearing him sing the songs is quite a treat.
The second pix shows how the mood-altering Benadryl made me stoop to manipulative seating arrangements to get Simon to eat.
Third pic is Simon shopping with Nana and myself wearing his new backpack full of toys and refreshments from Nana.
The fourth pic shows how adorable and humongous simon looked from this angle in the backseat. Looks more like a child than a two year old.
The last pic is of Ollie's birthday dinner/dessert. Simon loves parties now. When he sees a card, or invitation, balloons, candles, anything reminscent of birthday parties, he always asked about birthdays, presents, and cake. I am excited about his 3rd birthday in exactly two months where he will really be excited and understand that it is his party!
