Holiday Pictures from Matt's Ipod

More Photos From Christmas

Simon getting ready to leave for school on his first day back (after Winter Break)
To me, he looks a little British with his longer hair.

Hi ho, Hi ho, it's off to school I go!
Simon was SO EXCITED to return to school.

Evie posing for a picture next to the creek behind the McDaniel's cabin.

Legos!

The picture is a little blurry but the sign says, Lego Show Admission $1
The older cousins entertained themselves with making creations, and they learned a little bit about business.

You can see Frank enjoying the Lego show.
What a bargain.

Matt's mom told me that when Alex asked for a dollar she said she might not have a dollar.
Alex said it was okay, that she could just write a check.
Later that night he asked her if she'd written the check yet :)

Simon learned a bit about business, too.
My mom reported to me that Simon told her she only had to pay 50 cents since she helped make the signs.

Yesterday was my 33rd birthday.
Simon wanted to know how many years were between 33 and 100 so that he could go ahead and make me a birthday card for each year.

The kids and Nana and Papa checking out some of the gingerbread houses at The Grove Park Inn which hosted the national Gingerbread competition.

Nana and the kids making their own gingerbread house.

Simon and Papa exploring outside.
A 4 hour mountain hike and exploration with Papa was the highlight of Simon's Christmas.
I think he'll always remember getting to the big rock and eating 3 oranges with his grandfather.

This picture needs a frame!

Winter Angel!

Last night Evie asked what Jesus was doing in heaven.
Did He sleep? I told her that God never sleeps
(hasn't she been listening as I've said Psalm 121 over her since she was born?)
Anyway, Evie is now worried that Jesus doesn't sleep because He doesn't have pajamas.
But, we sleep because we do have pajamas.
But Jesus needs pajamas. Momma, can we get Him some pajamas?

Matt and the three redhead boys set up a target practice.
These next pic are in the home that my parents rented just outside of Asheville.
It was a nice year to do something different as a family since it was the first Christmas without my dad's parents.

Intimidating
