Tuesday May 8 - Tuesday May 22nd
This was Simon's first time to fly when he was aware of what was happening. He loved being on the airplane and everything about waiting at the airport! On the plane, though, he kept asking where Daddy was and where Simon's house was.
The first pic shows how the day we left his eye was almost swollen completely shut by an allergic reaction to a bite of some sort. When the benadryl kicked it, the swelling went down...but his mood went bad. I think antihistamines are severely mood altering and I am resolving not to give them to Simon except for dire circumstances, as in allergic reactions!!! Benadryl is always iffy, sometimes Simon would get tired and cranky and sometimes excited and irritable. The only constant was a negative mood altering effect. Luckily, his mood altering didn't really kick in until the second day of benadryl treatment, which was in Cartersville and not on the airplane!
The last pic shows Simon nestled securely with blankie and lambie.
