Downtown Grapevine and North Pole Trainride

Yesterday we had a nice holiday and kid-appropriate outing.
We saw a 30 min Garfield Christmas Special and the classic Frosty cartoon at an old restored theatre in downtown Grapevine.

Downtown Grapevine looked picturesque, but somehow I neglected to snap a picture.

My sister Kellie and her daughter Mylie.

Evie and myself

Evie enjoying her popcorn.

Then we saw boarded the North Pole Express
(after a fun pre-show that included Simon getting up and singing in a microphone!)

The inside of our train car.
It was decorated very classic and traditional.

Remind me, "I'll ride the boat, but I won't ring the bell!" :)

Simon and Alex participated in a little song and dance.

Striking an end-pose

The kids received a nice bell keepsake.
Here I am securing Blaize's inside a hidden pocket.

You can see what Evie thought of Santa.
She's quite scared of Santa.
Earlier this season we heard, "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" on the radio.
Evie asked me if the Santa man was really coming to get her.
And "he sees you when you're sleeping" ... well, she's scared he is looking into her window at night.

Santa giving the kids a bell if they gave him a smile.
I was relieved Simon didn't yell out, "I know you aren't real!"
Or, "You sit on a throne of lies." :)
