Simon's First Field Trip and MORE

full of silliness sometimes

Lilyann loves to help with Evie by playing with her, helping change her diaper, dressing her, and even spoon feeding her - something Evie isn't used to but she really enjoys the attention.

Evie's new favorite nook

She spends a lot of time in this little box.
One night Simon (he is very flexible) hid in this box for hide and seek and we could not find him for a long time.  We had no idea he could fit in there with the lid on, too....

One morning before school

Evie mid-dance.
I'll have to post her dancing one day.

Field trip pictures!
We went to Green Meadows out in the middle of nowhere - maybe it was Mansfield ?

My group - that's Simon in the red jacket.

Reading his library book before we left.

Now you see Evie ....

And there she is, disappearing again.

Simon had the sheep eating out of his hand.

And Simon was getting friendly with the chickens, too.

Simon's group and their teacher.

beautiful inspiring beginnings of stirfry one night

Evie was playing Bridge of Hope with her stuffed animals.
In the above picture she is very frustrated with their behavior.

Then, Evie gets more grace and composes herself.

Our little nurturer

Last Friday night was so much fun!
We went over to hang out with our friend  Cheryl and her FIVE kids - fun chaos.
It was the kind of typical schoolyear Friday night with laidback fun and pizza.

The above picture is Simon chasing Hudson and Lorena.

Major was going to his first school dance (middleschool).
Natalie was also going to the same dance, and I sorely regret missing getting her picture.  She was probably still getting ready - you know how us girls are!  She is a photographer for the school newspaper or yearbook, so she was also going to be 'working' that night.

Simon comes home STARVING.  They eat lunch at 10:50.
In this photo he was eating his after school snack - two boiled eggs and a pear.

We went to the Arboretum on Sunday with some friends.
This is Brenda - and we promise that Evie really was more charming later on that day.

JD and Chrissy

I'm kind of in love with fall.

There's Silas (the middle child of the five) climbing over the fence.
He and a friend were making youtube videos of them playing basketball.
I found that quite humorous and entertaining.

Simon getting a fun idea from ....

Uncle JD

Just how many pumpkins are here???

The bamboo forest

This is my favorite play structure - they have several storybook houses on display right now.

I guess I'm partial to butterflies.

I love this unposed photo.

Evie turned two yesterday!

Evie was getting rather friendly with the lion,

always my poser

I love the hand on the hip!
This picture looks like it could have come right out of a scrapbook
of mine from when I was this age.
