March 14th and 15th 2008

I am SO EXCITED about Easter.  It is my FAVORITE "holiday."

"In Christ Alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My comforter, my all in all --
Here in the love of Christ I stand.
"In Christ alone, who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save.
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied;
For ev'ry sin on him was laid--
Here in the death of Christ I live."

"There in the ground his body lay,
Light of the World by darkness slain;
Then bursting forth, in glorious day,
Up from the grave he rose again!
And as He stands in victory,
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me;
For I am His and He is mine,
Bought with the precious blood of  Christ."

"No guilt in life, no fear in death--
This is the pow'r of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No pow'r of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns of calls me home-
Here in the pow'r of Christ, I'll stand."

Evie rolled over on Friday March 14th!
Simon (as you can kind of see in the mirror) was excited!
Well, on the day of Evie's 4 month well baby it was an adventure!
I went somewhere with both of my children (doesn't happen much).
It started to sleet/snow, and I walked into Chick-fil-A to meet
a friend and her three kiddos in the sleet!
I thought it was funny that the one day I leave with both kids it sleets and is a little more difficult than it would normally be!
Ashton (a highschool senior) and Simon.
Simon and I had fun on Saturday.  We trekked to downtown Dallas, found a parking meter spot, and walked to Reunion Arena
for a quick David Crowder concert!
Tania and Evie.
Scott and Tania on their way to a wedding.
Tania caught the bouquet :)
Timmy and Simon.
Here is an interesting conversation that really happened.
Auntie Amy:  Timmy, did you know I have a little girl?
Simon has a baby sister!
Timmy:  Yeah, I know.  Her name is ... I forgot.  Let's go see her.
Auntie Amy:  Um, she's asleep.
Simon:  I have a new cousin.  His name is Blaize.
Timmy:  I have a good man (or friend, I couldn't quite understand what he said.)  His name is Simon.
later...
Auntie Amy:  Here is Evie-Grace.  Isn't she pretty?
Timmy:  I have a baby sister.  Her name is Hosea.
Simon:  I have two sisters.  Evie and Evie-Grace.

Later that night, after Timmy had been in bed for awhile, I walk into the room to check on him.
Timmy:  Auntie Amy, am I awake?
This was an interesting re-enactment of David and Goliath.
Simon as Goliath did fall the first time.
The second time was re-interpreted and Goliath chased David up into the playhouse with his sword.
